Justice Regine' Stewart was born on December 22, 1995, in Columbia, South Carolina.  She attended South Carolina public schools in Richland School District Two. She graduated from Richland Northeast High School, Class of 2014.

She was a devoted member of the NJROTC program. Upon graduating, she received several scholarships totaling $391,000. The Frederick C. Branch Leadership Scholarship was used to attend college as a member of the NROTC program. She attended the illustrious Spelman College in Atlanta, GA where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in May of 2018. Upon completion of OCS, she was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps where she served as a Logistics Officer. She was promoted to 1LT in the Fall of 2020.

Justice was baptized at an early age and became an active member of Brookland Baptist Church in Columbia, South Carolina.

She was a prolific writer. She enjoyed writing and reciting poetry so much that in the year 2020, she published her first book of poetry, Kairos, under her pen name Jay Regine'. Her love of language and linguistics were evident through her craft of writing. Justice minored in Spanish at Spelman College and taught herself how to speak and read Korean early in life. She also enjoyed crocheting and designing jewelry. Justice was known for her creative, artistic abilities.

She volunteered in the community to help feed the homeless, build houses for Homeworks of America, and also contributed efforts to benefit the MS Society by leading the Stand Against MS in her community. 

​

On June, 27, 2021, she suddenly departed this world, leaving behind many sweet memories shared by her friends and family and her writing which will continue to touch the hearts and souls of generations to come. Within only 25 years of life, Justice reached many of her goals that made her feel accomplished and fulfilled. Her loving family continues to promote her work and kindred spirit that watches over them every day. Justice will be remembered as a fun-loving, courageous, ambitious, passionate, dedicated, free-spirited person whose radiant smile reflected her joyful spirit.
